Job description Sumalytics Inc. in Gatineau, Quebec: our flagship product is Variance Analytics TM (VATM) which is a Business Intelligence Software System for identifying and managing costs in hospitals. It enhances any existing financial decision support and cost accounting system by incorporating advanced analytics and a web interface that is easy to use. We need a person to provide corporate leadership for our outsourced development team, with the aim of moving all development work in-house over the next 12 to 24 months. This person will also oversee our in-house needs for hardware and software, to support a small team that will grow to about 10 people over the next year. The ideal candidate for this opportunity excels at adaptability, communicates with impact, influences others, is adept at decision-making and problem solving and must demonstrate the ability to work independently with little supervision |

responsible for the evolution of the software architecture and process |

| enforce compliance with architectural processes for projects | ||
| coach teams of software design engineers for planning, tracking and completion of the work within the agreed plan, using agreed methods and processes | ||
| advise on and lead the implementation of new methods, tools or processes | ||
| Technical Skills |
||
hands on experience with SQL Server 2005, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005, VB.NET, C#, JSP/ASP and HTML |
||
| knowledgeable with configuring Dell, HP, IBM or similar servers | ||
| familiar with browser-based user interfaces | ||
| working knowledge of relational database technologies | ||
| demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills required | ||
| capability of transferring knowledge to various audiences | ||
| have good knowledge of standard software development life-cycle methodologies software process management and improvement techniques | ||
| have experience in design, quality assurance and testing methodologies | ||
| good oral and written communication skills | ||
| ability to resolve in house IT problems as the need arises | ||
| ability to work with all levels of personnel as well as independently with little supervision | ||
| basic understanding of linear algebra and cost accounting an asset | ||
| Experience |

5-10 years experience in the definition and implementation of software architectures within a product development environment |
||
| previous consulting and implementation experience | ||
| experience working with databases in a data warehouse environment | ||
| programming leadership, communication and documentation skills | ||
| Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent | ||
| healthcare Industry experience an asset | ||
